Copyright and Takedown Policy

Spot.Watch publishes original commentary, review, and criticism about watches and the watch industry. Our aim is to write in our own words, summarise and link to sources rather than copy them, and to use images that are hosted by the watchmaker and credited, or that we create or transform ourselves. If you believe material on Spot.Watch infringes your copyright, please contact us using the form below, or the email address shown near the top of this page.

A valid notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act should include:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  2. Identification of the material you believe is infringing, and its address (URL) on Spot.Watch.
  3. Your contact information, including name, email, and a mailing address or phone number.
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

We review valid notices and may remove or disable access to the material. We also honour reasonable requests for correction or attribution even where no formal notice is required. If you believe material was removed in error, you may send a counter notification to the same address.
