H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Minute Repeater Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton “Cosmic Rain”

H. Moser & Cie. has introduced the Cosmic Rain (ref. 1909-0501), the latest expression of its Endeavour Minute Repeater Cylindrical Tourbillon, a platform that first brought a minute repeater and flying tourbillon together on open display back in 2019 and gained a fully skeletonized treatment earlier this year. This new version dresses the movement in a celestial theme, with an aventurine subdial dotted with mother-of-pearl inlays shaped like shooting stars.

At its core is the manual-wind calibre HMC 909, entirely skeletonized so the dial-side hammers and gongs sit exposed on a single plane, alongside a one-minute flying tourbillon fitted with a cylindrical hairspring. The case itself is hollowed titanium, engineered to act as a resonance chamber that amplifies the repeater’s chime. Moser has limited the piece, reportedly to 20 examples, and pricing is available on request.

It’s a dense concentration of horological ambition: a chiming complication and a tourbillon both laid bare, wrapped in a case that doubles as an acoustic instrument. The Cosmic Rain pushes that engineering into more decorative territory, without losing sight of the mechanics that made the platform notable in the first place.
