IWC Puts Its Museum Curator On Camera For The Ingenieur SL 'Jumbo' Ref. 1832 (captioned elsewhere as 8032)

An episode of IWC's 'IWC. Curated.' pre-owned series, a rare case of a major maison spotlighting a reference it no longer produces.

Museum curator David Seyffer and sales manager Jule Schäfer discuss the Genta-designed Jumbo in IWC’s short film, released August 20. They trace the line’s origins as a tool for engineers in magnetic fields, highlighting the integrated bracelet and functional bezel screws.

What’s striking is what’s left unsaid. No movement specs, no case dimensions, no water resistance, no price. The magnetic-resistance rating and production estimate appear only in auto-generated captions, which also botch the reference number, so treat both as unconfirmed.

The brand speaking at length, the spec sheet conspicuously absent.
