IWC has introduced a new dial colorway for its Ingenieur Automatic 35, a watch that has quietly become one of the brand’s most distinctive steel sports models. Dubbed “Pool,” the new reference IW324902 brings an aquatic-toned dial to the line while keeping the rest of the formula unchanged.
The 35mm stainless steel case retains the Ingenieur’s signature integrated bracelet and the five functional screws that frame the bezel, a detail that has defined the model since its earliest days. Inside is an automatic movement, and the Pool dial carries the line’s familiar grid pattern along with rhodium-plated hands and indexes filled with Super-LumiNova for legibility. Pricing was not disclosed alongside the announcement.
This isn’t a new case or movement, but that’s rather the point: IWC is treating the Ingenieur Automatic 35 as a platform for seasonal dial variety, giving an already well-established design a livelier, warm-weather personality without disturbing what makes it recognizable.
