Founded in Paris in 2023, SpaceOne is the brainchild of entrepreneur Guillaume Laidet and independent watchmaker Théo Auffret. Laidet, known for reviving Nivada Grenchen, partnered with Auffret to create watches that merge avant-garde design with affordability. Olivier Gamiette, a designer from Peugeot, contributed his sci-fi-inspired aesthetics, resulting in a brand deeply rooted in 1960s space-age design. All watches are developed and assembled in France.

While many microbrands start with traditional designs like dive or field watches, SpaceOne took a different path with its debut: a jumping hour watch. The brand aims to offer technically sophisticated and design-driven timepieces at prices that defy expectations. SpaceOne’s collection includes the 2023 Jumping Hour, the 2024 Tellurium, and a recently launched innovative world-timer. Each model is produced in limited quantities, ensuring exclusivity and collectibility.

The latest standout from SpaceOne is the WorldTimer, a bold reinterpretation of the world-time concept. Instead of traditional hands, time is displayed via discs: a 12-hour disc at 6 o’clock, a minute aperture at 3 o’clock, and coaxial discs at 9 o’clock for a 24-hour scale and city references.
