Vacheron Constantin Films a Métiers d'Art Crocodile Dial Built From Cut Cotton Paper

The Maison's Papercroc arrives with a craft story and almost nothing else.

Vacheron Constantin has posted a short film on its own channel about Papercroc, a piece from its Tribute to the Animal Kingdom series. The dial depicts a white crocodile in snow-laden reeds, sculpted from cotton paper instead of enamel or engraving.

The Maison notes brass matrices cut specifically for the piece, a relief of roughly three millimetres, and what it calls “months of experimentation.”

Everything else remains undisclosed: no reference number, movement, metal, diameter, or edition size, just the hashtag OneOfNotMany. How such delicate paper survives under a crystal also goes unmentioned. Watch it for the craft, not the spec sheet.
